Internal data analysis

In today’s competitive environment, an organisation’s internal database is a key asset.  Maps, coupled with an organisation’s internal data, help answer some of the most basic questions in business, i.e.: geographic references within a database help decision-makers realise the “where, why and how” of their organisation.

Typically 80% of an organisation’s internal data will contain a geographic reference of some description whether it is a street name, postcode, postal address, telephone number, ward, parliamentary constituency, town or even an X, Y co-ordinate.  When databases are mapped in accordance to their geographic references, patterns & trends that would have been previously difficult to detect within a database or spreadsheet are identifiable.  The mapping of an organisation’s internal data will include the following:
